Does it seem like we are always talking about the Pelvis? If you answered yes, then you are correct and clearly in the practice of Pilates. In the video we are seeing how there is a direct relationship from the pelvis to the base of the spine. The base of the spine is the where tightness occurs the most, when tightness occurs then the there is a lack of flexion which then leads to a lack of articulation. Our best articulation of the spine is imperative for the Pilates method.
